Ibrahim Sanon
Ibrahim is a Specialist in Education and Child Protection as well as a Certified Professor of Philosophy and Inspector of Specialized Education. He has more than 20 years of experience in training youth and mentoring the most vulnerable in society (i.e. children, adolescents and women). Currently, he is the Secretary General at the Ministry of National Education, Literacy and Promotion of National Languages of Burkina Faso, thanks to his deep knowledge of the issues related to literacy and non-formal education. Ibrahim held several high positions in the Burkinabe public administration and mainly in the Ministry of National Education.
He was Technical Advisor to the Minister of National Education and Literacy, then Cabinet Director of the Minister and then Director General of Basic Education Research. He has also been ADEA's Focal Point to the Ministry (from 2012 to present), UNICEF Consultant, Programs Officer with Save the Children / Canada for the socio-professional reintegration of children in difficulty and Research Assistant at the Research Institute for Development (IRD). From December 2018 to December 2022, he was the coordinator of ADEA's Inter-Country Quality Node on Non-Formal Education (ICQN-NFE).
Ibrahim est Spécialiste en Education et Protection de l’enfance, mais aussi Professeur Certifié de Philosophie et Inspecteur d’Education Spécialisée. Il totalise plus de 20 ans d’expérience dans la formation des jeunes et dans l’encadrement des couches les plus vulnérables de la société que sont les enfants, les adolescents et les femmes. Actuellement, Ibrahim est le Secrétaire général du Ministre de l’Education nationale, de l’Alphabétisation et de la Promotion des langues nationales (MENA/PLN) du Burkina Faso, ayant une maitrise parfaite des enjeux de l’alphabétisation et l’éducation non formelle. Il a occupé plusieurs hautes fonctions dans l’administration publique burkinabè et principalement au ministère de l’Education nationale.
Il a été Conseiller Technique du Ministre de l’Education nationale et de l’Alphabétisation, puis Directeur de Cabinet du Ministre et ensuite Directeur général de la Recherche en Education de base. Il a été aussi Point Focal de l’ADEA au MENA (de 2012 à nos jours), Consultant de l’UNICEF, Chargé de programme de Save the Children/Canada et Assistant de recherche à l’Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD). Entre décembre 2018 et Décembre 2022, il était le coordinateur du Pôle de Qualité Inter Pays de l’ADEA sur l’Education Non Formelle (PQIP-ENF).
